Shanghai Film Week 2019
Shanghai Film Week 2019 took place during October 14th-17th in the city of Liverpool, UK, to coincide with the Liverpool-Shanghai 20th Sister City Partnership anniversary celebrations. The Shanghai Art Film Federation, part of the Shanghai Film Distribution and Exhibition Association, have hosted its first mini-edition in the English city this week, featuring four films, including a documentary by Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald about contemporary Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang.
The Shanghai Film Week 2019 week was organised in partnership with Liverpool City Council, Liverpool Hope University, Liverpool Screen School, Liverpool China Partnership and the UK-China Film Collaboration Project funded by the AHRC.
